This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Absci (“Absci”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and how we handle personal information that we collect through our website (www. absci.com), through any other website that we own or control and which posts to this Privacy Policy, and through other interactions and correspondence with you (collectively, the “Service”).

Absci may provide additional or supplemental privacy notices to individuals for specific products or services that we offer at the time we collect the personal information, for example, in connection with our clinical trials. These supplemental privacy policies govern how we may process your information in those contexts.

Information you provide. Personal information you may provide to us through the Service or otherwise may include:

  • Contact details, such as your first and last name, and email address;
  • Communications that we exchange with you, including when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise;
  • Marketing information, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our activities, events, and publications as well as details about how you engage with our communications; and
  • Other data not specifically listed here, which we will use as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

Automatic data collection. We and our service providers may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interaction over time with the Service, such as:

  • Device data, such as your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, RAM and disk size, CPU usage, device type, IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, mobile device carrier, radio/network information (e.g., Wi-Fi, LTE, 4G), and general location information such as city, state, or geographic area; and
  • Online activity data, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, the website you visited before browsing to the Service, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and duration of access.

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily make your personal information available for viewing by third parties or the public on or through our Service, that information can be seen, collected and used by others. We are not responsible for any use of such information by others.

You have the following choices with respect to your personal information.

If you have given your consent to cookies, we use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize our service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g., how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. Decline to provide information. We need to collect personal information to provide certain Service functionality. If you do not provide the information we identify as required or mandatory or later request that we delete it, we may not be able to provide that functionality.

In addition, our content may be integrated into web pages or other online services that are not associated with us. These links and integrations are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. Children

The Service is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information through the Service from a child under 13 without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law, we will delete it.

 

Job Applicants

When you visit the “Careers/Roles” portion of our websites, we collect the information that you provide to us in connection with your job application. This includes business and personal contact information, professional credentials and skills, educational and work history, and other information of the type that may be included in a resume. This may also include diversity information or other information that you voluntarily provide.
